One Matter

Where the oceans meet the land is where I seek my clarity
The peaceful way the clouds lay above the sea
We are made of mostly water, the ocean reflects our disease
In order to be safe we need our water clean

We can't wake up from this nightmare
Things might be worse than they seem
The truth is here, we are scared
Our reality is some rich man's elaborate scheme

I want to give you comfort in your time of need
Shelter you from the pain of ugliness and greed
If we can all work together
It won't take long to remember
We are all connected
We are all one matter

Don't let rough waters drown out the voices of reason
We will change with the tide and give people something to believe in
We will strengthen one another and ignite long cold connections
Bringing forth a new consciousness that leads us in new directions

We can teach others to appreciate things we took for granted
We have the strength to change the world single handed
The lines have been drawn between those who care and those who don't
We must move forward without them, if they don't get it now, they won't
Your selfishness will get you no where, we are a social being
You share a unique connection to every living thing

If we listen to the earth she will tell us what to do
We've been here before and we've always made it through
She cries out for us to listen in the wake of it all
It is obvious there are many who have not heard the call
I do not need to arm myself against my fellow man
We must fight for our survival together, hand in hand
We can still find our peace looking to the ocean from the sand
